If you haven’t heard the buzz about the new Yurbuds for women, then you probably have a toddler in the house I’m here to spread the news! In the last couple of weeks, Yurbuds has launched a new product line designed for women by women. They released the Inspire for Women earphones.
At first glance, one might assume that they just “colored up” the normal Yurbuds but these were specifically designed to fit smaller ears. According to the spec sheet below they also feature the patented TwistLock Technology and they are sweat and water proof!
FEATURES:
Designed specifically to fit smaller ears TwistLock (TM) Technology – Guaranteed to never fall out Flexsoft (TM) Comfort Fit – Ergonomically designed to avoid nerve rich areas of the ear Sweat & Water Resistant – Designed for active use Exceptional Sound – Clinically proven acoustics Angled-Flex Plug
My number one issue with earphones is that they do not fit my ear. If I take music on a run I rarely use it or I “save” it for when I need it. I am never able to listen long because my earphones dig into my ears and hurt. And I can’t even count the number of times that I have made the decision to turn on the music and I don’t get any sound because the wires and/or device got wet and wouldn’t work. I stopped taking music with me for the above reasons. It was for these same reasons that I honestly wanted to try the Yurbuds Inspire for Women.
They came in the mail and I was tentatively excited (iPod not included).
There are two sizes of earphones in each package. I compared them to a penny as a point of reference and am super happy my old bar skillz of standing a coin on end FINALLY came in handy!
I opted to try the smaller set since the larger size is the approximate size of an iPod earbud and that is normally too large for my ear. They fit perfectly. First use was indoors on the treadmill. I plugged in while the family was milling around the house and crossed my fingers! I am normally not able to hear my music unless its blaring because life around me is “abuzz”. However, these earphones twisted in, fit well and I was immediately impressed with the sound quality AND how loud my player was from its last session. I was able to turn down the volume considerably and still hear the tunes. Plus, I kept thinking that the music just SOUNDED so much more vibrant (can I use this word for SOUND?) than normal. Hmmmmm….. So strange. So I ran, was sweaty and nasty, able to hear the music the entire time and the sound was sooooo much better than I remembered. The earphones never hurt my ears and they never moved. In fact, I was so intent on the sound of the music, I forgot about the earphones all together. This is good for me! Sweaty photo below.
I’ve since tried the Yurbuds Inspire for Women earphones multiple times both indoors and out and I’m in love with these things. They sound “normal” when only using one earphone but really shine on the sound quality front with both earphones locked into position. Oh yeah, and they fit my ear! They fit when I run, when I do the StairMaster and Elliptical. Next up, a Tae Bo workout. If they can survive Billy Blanks, then they will survive any fitness activity!
I’m definitely going to pick up a pair of these babies in pink for Aby for Christmas. I know the size of earphones is always an issue for her tiny ears as well. I’m super excited about this new product!

I have 2- Closer to the Edge from 30 seconds to Mars & Crazy Bi**h by buck cherry!
Didn’t even read all the details of this post cause it was targeted to women and I a man. I can’t think of any reason why ear-buds have to be different for women vs men. Is there a sexually dimorphic difference vs a woman and a mans ear? Or is it just the color thing? Please…someone…let me know what is going on here! LOL! The buds should work for anyone…depending on the size of the ear canal. There are physical differences between male and female…but I never ever expected it to involve ears. Maybe that’s why men never understand women? But I have to suspect that is more related to the brain….LOL! Enjoy you ladies….ya deserve it for putting up with all that bullshit ya do to keep hubbies…family and yourself happy? another LOL! Woo-hoo…go for those buds ladies!
LOL……Frogger, You are hilarious!!!
Me and Julio down by the school yard!! I have gone through so many headphone because they dont stay in my small ears. I even bought the $100 bose ones that I cant even use. They look real cool in the carrying case. I alway hope one day I will find a pair that stay in!

Thank you for the review! I am searching for earbuds that will not fall out (every 3 seconds) while I am running outside. I came across these at target, along with the pair that fit behind the ear (focus for women: http://yurbuds.com/products/behind-the-ear/), and was wondering if other runners had tested them out. I know you seem to like the regular inspire for women earbuds, but have you heard anything about the behind the ear fit? I can see this as added benefit to keep them in place while running, but was wondering if it was really necessary or even comfortable… If you have any thoughts I’d appreciate it!
I haven’t tried the over the ear ones but these don’t fall out b/c the twist lock in. This weekend I even caught the wire with a hand while running and it still didn’t come out. I really like these and now have 4 pair in the house. Even the kids use them.

Thank you! I am going to give them a try 🙂
