So happy that the Knuckle Lights got such a great response. These really are a great product and one that I use all the time. In my opinion it’s the best lighting option available and I am a very happy customer!
The winner of the free pair of blue Knuckle Lights is #26, Mary Milella.
It looks like Mary is a local. Mary, do I know you? Come run with me!!!! 🙂

I’ve been off the grid for a few days while hubby and I took a mini trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. As always, timing wasn’t ideal but we managed to sneak away thanks to the help of our families. The Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas are no longer the way I remember from my preteen trip many, many years ago. I remember little shops with American Indians out front crafting various wares for sale. I remember buying a pair of handmade moccasins. I remember a small, quiet area that was saturated with culture, history and backlit by those glorious mountains. Not so now. I didn’t see one American Indian or even one item crafted by them. You have to look for the history. Look for the culture. Look past the crazy, loud, brightly lit kid/family activities to SEE those glorious mountains.
The weather was a bit touch and go with cold, rain & snow. I wanted to do some hiking but the main road was closed thru the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fortunately, one road was open and we took it as far as were were able, stopping at each and every look out. Snapping photos. Soaking up the cold air and serene views. Hubby was even brave enough to let me drag him out of the car for a snowy hike up to Laurel Falls!
Yep, true love. Hubby does not like heights, or hiking, or walking along little pathways that drop off the side of a mountain.
That one hike, the beauty of the trail, the mountains, the quiet times we had, made the trip worth while. This is what I’ll remember about this trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, TN.

Awe, what a great little getaway!! And what a nice hubby you have! 🙂 Love the pics!
So…I said I was going to get in some miles for you this weekend, but yea, that didn’t happen! I didn’t run at all! Back at it today though, with 5. And Saturday will be 15!
oooohhh, man! It looks so beautiful!! I think my only real problem with Chicago is the lack of mountains. And maybe the crime.
