CrossFit Day 16 …

The WOD for yesterday was straight forward, simple moves, but hard.  I’m still sore.

  • 70 Kettlebell Deadlifts – 35# (I think)
  • 70 Lunges
  • 70 Push-Ups
  • 70 Step-Up – 18” Box
  • 70 Burpees

burpees suck

I had a partner and between the two of us we needed to complete 70 of the specified move before going onto the next listed item.  My partner was the superstar experienced CrossFitter of our group and she totally killed it.  She also picked up some of my slack in the push-up and burpee departments.  Sorry, Sarah, I WILL get stronger.  It’s my mission.  It’s why I show up every TUE & THUR at 5am.

Dream of Sucess or Wake up

We had a bit of downtime then cuz Sarah is so fast so started working on Ring Rows.  Did 15 of those before we were redirected.

  • 50 Supermans
  • 50 Ab Baskets – 14# ball

Done.  Quick workout but it left it’s mark.

  1. That workout sounds horrible (and by horrible I, of course mean super awesome). I didn’t realize it was a partner WOD at first and thought that I would have run screaming and crying from the box. 🙂

    • I was initially REALLY nervous too. It worked out though cuz we would each do 10 or 15 reps, then pass it onto the partner for a few minutes. That gave us a bit of a break.

  2. Wow…the 70’s….workout…not the era! What will you do with all this new-found strength and fitness? I can only imagine!

  3. I wasn’t a big fan of this particular workout. I was in a group of 3, so a bit too much down time, but it is always great to be there at 5 a.m. with friends. Because what else would I be doing at that time of day!!!???

    • It’s really a core strength/ low back issue. CrossFit gas helped me tremendously with these issues but I still have a long way to go. Start working on your core but don’t do anything to damage your back more.
