I got up this morning planning to hit the road for a run but my little man was only minutes behind me. I didn’t even have my running clothes on toothpaste on the toothbrush before he was screaming my name. As I calmed him down and laid back down, I was hoping he would fall back asleep fast and leave me enough time to still grab a few miles before work. But realistically, I knew that wouldn’t happen and I quickly crafted Plan B. Lunch Run. I even started looking forward to the thought of running the lakefront at lunch. Well, I’ve anticipated the lunch run all day and now am staring down the reality that it just won’t be happening. Plan C anyone?

Do you ever have to optimize Plan C after anticipating both Plan A and Plan B and then just not being able to make those happen?

Plan C….run this evening after work. Maybe hubbie will tend to little Mike while you go for your run! Plan D…ride the bike on the trainer stand. Plan E….give it up and call it a day!
Yeah, I think I’m at about Plan E. I’m going with a friend to RFK’s tonight. Maybe Mel will watch Michael while we run Ishnala? LOL!
I live in a plan C world! Put that boy in the jogger and hit the road tonight. Have you considered one of those trailer bikes for him? I am not sure what the age suggestion is for those, but I notice lots of them around time for the more fit minded mom’s and dad’s.
He doesn’t mind the jogger but always wants to get out and run. 🙂 I wouldn’t even trust him in a bike trailer. He’d jump out.
I wonder how high the waves would have been along side the planetarium today! What do you think?

I don’t usually get past Plan A failing…..
Great pictures and its sad to not see them full of people as usual. I guess everyone was working on the alternate plans that day. I always figure if I get to plan C its more for my minds sake than the reality of making it ever happen.
It’s hard but sometimes we need to let go of the plan and realize that we are only human and “most” of us do this for fun.
